Maintenance Mechanic

Details: Reports To: Maintenance SupervisorSalary Grade: 4FLSA Status: Full-Time ExemptSummary: The person should have details technical knowledge/hands-on in electrical (analog/digital, motors, controls, etc.), mechanical (A/C, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.) and welding. Will perform and coordinate activities of a mechanic engaged in maintaining and repairing plant machinery and tools. Furthermore should perform other production process areas to ensure production plans are executed accordingly.Essential Duties and Responsibilities•Repair and maintain machinery, order and stock parts as needed, complete scheduled projects, work within budgets while adhering to OSHA regulations (e.g., Lockout/Tagout).•Perform duties as outlined in established Job Safety Analysis and National Quality Standards.•Organize and/or stock raw materials in the work area, follow departmental housekeeping requirements, and leave the work environment and equipment clean at the end of shift.•Perform other duties as designated by a supervisor or managerLeadership Skills•Inspire trust•Think strategically•Engage and inspire•Drive for results/execution•Focus on customer•Adapt and learnEducation/Experience•3-5 years maintenance experience in a production environment.Functional Skills•Leader Standard Work•Lean Management System•Lean and Green Scrap Program•National Quality Audit•Safety ProgramJob Factors/Work EnvironmentSafety-focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement. Work environment includes a clean and safe work area, exposure to high noise decibels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals.
